While making the case for shipping another $61 billion of your taxpayer dollars off to Ukraine, Democrat Representative Gerald Connolly addressed the concerns of those who feel we shouldn’t be protecting Ukraine’s border when we have a border crisis of our own.
“Some say, well, we have to deal with our border first,” Connolly said. “The Ukrainian-Russian border is our border! It’s the border between depraved autocracy and freedom loving people seeking our democratic way of life! Do we have a stake in that outcome? Yes. Undeniably, yes.”
On Rep. Connolly’s website, he denies that open border policies have damaged America, and repeats the laughable lie that illegal aliens are less likely to commit crimes than the native born. He also publicly pressured the Biden administration to reinstitute a minimum of at least 125,000 refugees being admitted to the country annually. In other words, in the mind of the Democrats of today, the Ukraine-Russia border is a U.S. border - but the U.S.-Mexico border isn’t.
