According to House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer, Eric Schwerin, a close business associate of Hunter Biden, is cooperating with Congressional investigators.
He broke the news on John Solomon’s evening show, telling him "His attorneys and my counsel are communicating on a regular basis. Now, I feel confident that he's going to work with us, and provide us with the information that we have requested."
"I think that Schwerin is going to be a very valuable witness for us in this investigation,” he added.
Schwerin was an executive at Hunter’s firm “Rosemont Seneca,” and was involved in facilitating his deals with Chinese energy firm CEFC. Schwerin was also involved in discussing tax and financial matters with then-VP Biden as early as 2010.
This came after Hunter Biden missed the deadline to provide records related to his family business dealings overseas in Ukraine and China to the Committee, which will likely lead to them issuing a subpoena for them. Hunter’s art dealer has also refused to turn over records.

Comer has accused the Bidens of influence peddling, and wants to know the extent of the president’s knowledge of Hunter’s dealings.
"We know individuals, many are cooperating with us now, but others, not so much," he told Solomon. "We're going to start subpoenaing people in the private sector, we're going to start subpoenaing financial institutions to get us the information. And then we'll go from there."
