The House Judiciary Committee released a letter last night addressed to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken that revealed the infamous public statement from intel officials ahead of the 2020 election claiming that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation was catalyzed by the Biden campaign - and Blinken himself.

Mike Morell, a former acting CIA director under President Barack Obama, said in a recent transcribed interview with congressional investigators that, before his Oct. 17 phone call with Blinken, he had no intention to write the Oct. 19 Hunter Biden laptop letter. He testified “yes” and “absolutely” when asked if the call with Blinken, who was then a top adviser for Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign, was what “triggered that intent in you.”

Morell also testified that one of the two reasons he helped put the letter together was to help Joe Biden defeat former President Donald Trump.

This news comes in the wake of an IRS whistleblower coming forward to allege misconduct in the Hunter Biden tax probe. Attorney Mark Lytle, who is representing the whistleblower-to-be, told CBS that his client wants to come forward to congress and be questioned about what he knows under proper legal protections. Specifically, Lytle says his client will speak out about allegations that the Hunter investigation has been stymied by “preferential treatment and politics.”

Lytle said that this whistleblower would  “contradict sworn testimony to Congress by a senior political appointee” - the identity of which the New York Post later confirmed is Attorney General Merrick Garland
