In a win for free speech, Florida homeowner and die-hard Trump fan Marvin Peavy has defeated Walton County in a legal showdown over pro-Trump banners hanging from his home.

The county hit Peavy with over $60,000 in fines for flying Trump banners featuring messages including “Trump Won” and “Let’s Go Brandon.” Claiming the signs violated their scenic corridor code, officials demanded he remove them or pay $50 daily penalties. But Peavy didn’t flinch.

Peavy fought back, adding even cheekier banners like “Who’s Your Daddy?” and “Trump Coming Home 2025.”

He told The Blaze, “They came after my constitutional rights, which they cannot do. It woke me up as a patriot.” Backed by sharp lawyers, Peavy stood firm, citing U.S. Supreme Court rulings that protect political signs on private property. The county’s rule allowing such displays only during election years, with fines starting 15 days post-election didn’t scare him off.

As he amassed a $63,000 tab from the fines he refused to pay any of it, and went to court, leading to a circuit judge handed him a resounding win days ago, ruling his banners could stay up and barring the county from enforcing fines or liens on his property. The court also ruled that Walton County must fork over $42,000 by Saturday to cover Peavy’s legal fees.

Something tells me those Trump flags are staying up forever now.
