Jim Jordan went scorched Earth during the Robert Hur hearings, in which he pressed Hur for a motive for Biden knowingly breaking the rules and taking classified documents.
While Hur was hesitant to provide a motive, saying he only was focussed on the events that happened, Jordan pointed out that his own report proved exactly what the motive was without Hur needing to editorialize.
"I think you told us Mr. Hur. Page 231, you said this: 'President Biden had strong motivations.' That's a key word. We're getting a motive now. 'President Biden had strong motivations to ignore the proper procedures for safeguarding the classified information in his notebook.' Why did he have strong motivations? 'Because he decided months before leaving office to write a book.'"
When asked how much money Biden made from his book, Hur replied "Off the top of my head, I'm not sure if that information appears in the report." Jordan then reminded him that the amount was in his report, to which Hur replied that it “may be $8 million.”
“Then Biden had eight million reasons to lie” Jordan pointed out.
