Dr. Keith Ablow: "LGBT" Movement Should Cut Off Its "T"

Rather than urging Americans to accept the notion that children can decide whether to proceed with devastating, infertility-inducing hormone “treatments”—or, worse yet, cut off body parts to masquerade as the opposite gender—gay and bisexual Americans should be cutting off their own “T.” 

What do I mean by that?  I mean that the transgender movement in America should be jettisoned by lesbians, gay and bisexual Americans.  It is the transgender movement that has most dramatically shown that it fully intends to do harm to children and adolescents in America by making them question their biology (right down to their DNA) and embark on disfiguring, destructive, depersonalizing hormonal manipulations and surgeries. 

A robust LGB movement ought to take over the LGBT movement in America, or Americans would be right to lump together all those who subscribe to that movement.  What that would mean is that Americans would be right to assume that lesbian, gay and bisexual Americans have no particular issue with those who believe DNA does not dictate gender and that they have no particular issue with those who believe that children should be encouraged to pursue their obsessive or delusional notions that their penises or breasts ought be severed from their bodies.

If lesbian, gay and bisexual Americans generally support the transgender movement, which inherently and relentlessly targets young people, then the entire movement will, ultimately and properly, be held responsible for the disfiguring, soul-crushing results of sexual reassignment surgery in young people, the destruction of female sports and the promotion of a spectrum of pathology that now includes people identifying as cats and dogs.

Being part of a movement that is delusional and virulent is to be part of a movement that begs for containment.  All epidemics ultimately trigger the same, rational response.

Hence, here is my Rx for adults attracted to other adults of the same gender:   Take all pains to draw a distinction between yourselves and the toxic transgender movement.  Jettison them from your movement.  Banish them from your gatherings.  You are about to be seen as co-collaborators with one of the most destructive, horrific epidemics ever known to man.  And you will not be soon forgiven that association.
