Liz Cheney Isn’t Taking the Prospect of a Second Trump Term Well

Alleged Republican Liz Cheney took to NBC in an attempt to restart the Trump Derangement Syndrome pandemic ahead of the 2024 election, and this interview served as the latest reminder of just how terrified the establishment is of a Trump return.

Asked if she believes Trump would try to stay in power forever if re-elected, Cheney said “There's no question,” - ignoring the obvious question of why Trump isn’t in office right now if he would refuse to give up power.

She then upped the hysteria, claiming that Trump would turn America into a dictatorship if re-elected, which, again, seems like something an actual dictator would’ve done when they had the chance.

“I think it’s a very, very real threat and concern. And I don’t say any of that lightly and frankly, it’s painful for me as someone who has spent her whole life in Republican politics, who grew up as a Republican to watch what’s happening to my party and to watch the extent to which Donald Trump himself has basically determined that the only thing that matters is him, his power and his success,” Cheney claimed.

Later she went on to confirm that Republicans were right to replace Kevin McCarthy with Speaker Mike Johnson by expressing grave distrust of him, and elsewhere describing him a “collaborator” of Trump.

In the latest Harris Poll (no related to the VP), Trump leads Biden by eight-points in a 4-way race (including RFK Jr. as an Independent and Cornel West for the Green Party). This is understandably infuriating for Cheney, who seems to have convinced herself that her fraudulent January 6 Committee would stay voters.
