NPR suspended senior business editor Uri Berliner for running afoul of the publication’s principles by reporting the truth for once.

As Fox reported:

NPR is under fire again, this time for punishing the veteran editor who took his concerns public about the liberal takeover of its newsroom.  The organization's in-house media correspondent David Folkenflik reported Berliner was placed on a five-day suspension without pay that began Friday.

Berliner had written an essay in The Free Press that exposed what we already knew, that NPR is a left-wing cesspool only ever veering further left. In the article he slammed his employer for pushing the Russia-collusion hoax, only to then completely ignore it without self-reflection being officially refuted by the Mueller report (though anyone paying attention knew it was nonsense long before then).

Berliner also put NPR on blast for simply refusing to cover the Hunter Biden laptop story, which they infamously did so on the basis that they “don’t want to waste the listeners’ and readers’ time on stories that are just pure distractions.” Or put differently, they don’t want their listeners’ and readers distracted by the truth for a change.

Among the other issues infected by liberal bias that Berliner highlighted  was the COVID lab leak theory, which NPR dismissed as racist and/or a right wing conspiracy theory.

In NPR’s reporting on Berliner’s criticism and suspension, rather than address his criticisms head on, they further revealed their political bias and complained that he “gave fresh ammunition to conservative and partisan Republican critics of NPR, including former President Donald Trump.” They also revealed that Berliner’s suspension was because he failed to get his article blasting NPR approved by NPR - and that if he published elsewhere without their permission again he’d be terminated.
