Sen. Tom Cotton has expressed confidence that the Republican controlled Senate will confirm all of President-elect Donald Trump’s remaining cabinet nominees.
Appearing on Fox and Friends, Cotton said; “I had a good meeting with Pete Hegseth and with Pam Bondi. I know many of these nominees — two Arkansans have been nominated as ambassadors — Marco Rubio, Kelly Loeffler, Doug Collins, and I served together. In fact, if you go back 32 years to Bill Clinton’s transition, there are only two nominees out of 72 Cabinet secretary nominees in which senators of the president-elect’s party voted against them. So no one should be surprised that a Republican Senate is going to confirm the Republican president-elect’s Cabinet secretaries."

Cotton doubled down on his Twitter/X account after.
I expect our Republican Senate is going to confirm all of President Trump's nominees.

Cotton’s remarks come as some of Trump’s picks have had to swithdraw, most notably Matt Gaetz for AG. Despite Republicans having a 53-47 Senate majority, there’s always the possibility that the usual suspects (Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski) vote against Trump’s picks.Of the 72 cabinet secretary nominees since the Clinton transition, only 2 nominees have ever received NO votes from the president-elect's party.
