Donald Trump warned on Wednesday that conflict between Israel and Iran could soon reignite, as he doubled down on claims that U.S. airstrikes had completely destroyed the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.
Speaking at a combative press conference at the NATO summit in the Netherlands, the president lashed out again at 'fake news' by slamming CNN, MSNBC, and the New York Times for publishing leaks suggesting the damage from the bombings was limited.
Trump began by asserting Iran's nuclear labs had been rendered ‘totally inoperable' after official statements from both Tehran and Tel Aviv agreed that destruction had been extensive.
He also suggested the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth may need to change his title to 'Secretary of War' given the deteriorating situation in the Middle East.
