President Donald Trump will visit Michigan on Monday and deliver remarks about the economy, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Thursday.
Trump's visit comes on the same day that the Gordie Howe International Bridge, a new and vital economic passage between the United States and Canada, will open to traffic.
Leavitt did not immediately provide details on where Trump would deliver his remarks and whether he would visit the bridge site, though the White House did later announce that Trump would visit a General Motors Co. facility in Milford during his trip.
“President Trump travels to General Motors in Milford, Michigan on Monday, delivering on his promise to bring manufacturing back to America and rebuild the auto industry," Regional Press Secretary Liz Huston said in a statement.
