Donald Trump’s lead against Joe Biden in the RealClearPolitics average of polls has reached a new all-time high.

Trump has led Biden consistently since mid-October of last year, and now has a 3.8 point lead on him, polling at 47.3% to Biden’s 43.5%.

The polls included in the RealClearPolitics average include Economist/YouGov, The Messenger/HarrisX, Morning Consult, Harvard-Harris, CBS News, Rasmussen Reports, Reuters/Ipsos, and I&I/TIPP - a majority of which overestimated Biden’s vote share in the 2016 and 2020 elections.

The latest from Rasmussen Reports found that while Biden has made Bidenomics the center of his campaign, it’s more of an asset to Trump:

By  a wide margin, more voters say “Bidenomics” will help Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential campaign than believe it will help Joe Biden win  reelection.

Just  26% of Likely U.S. Voters think “Bidenomics” will help Biden win this  year’s presidential election, while 44% say it will help Trump win.  Twenty-three percent (23%) believe “Bidenomics” will not make much  difference in the presidential campaign.

Biden  himself has repeatedly used the word “Bidenomics” to describe his  economic policy agenda. Forty-two percent (42%) of voters approve of  “Bidenomics,” including 23% who Strongly Approve. But a majority (51%)  disapprove, including 40% who Strongly Disapprove of “Bidenomics.”

There’s been some shifts in the administration’s Bidenomics narrative, with the administration now simultaneously singing its praises while telling us we have to wait for Bidenomics to work. The latest talking point Karine Jean-Pierre has debuted is that the economy is doing great because of equity (a comment that came fewer than three weeks after she said we need to wait longer for Bidenomics to work).
