Washington to become sanctuary state for abortions, child sex changes

A so-called "shield law" that will turn Washington into a sanctuary state for abortions and gender-altering surgeries including for minors passed out of the state Senate on Monday and is expected to be signed into law by Democrat Governor Jay Inslee.

When signed it will go into effect immediately because the bill contains an emergency clause.

HB 1469 protects providers and patients in Washington from out-of-state lawsuits for providing abortions and gender-altering surgeries by prohibiting out-of-state subpoenas and criminal investigations seeking information related to the treatments and procedures.
 

The Washington state legislature has passed HB 1469 to become a sanctuary state for minors seeking “gender-affirming” treatment.

Because it has an emergency clause, when it is signed by Inslee it will take effect immediately.
