Once again the White House shot themselves on the foot on the inflation issue, where they tried to take credit for the recent fall in the rate of inflation (which is still positive).
“Great news: Today’s inflation report shows annual inflation is now at the lowest level since March 2021, and less than half of what it was last June,” the White House tweeted after May’s inflation numbers came in. They then posted a chart showing the pace of inflation declining in recent months - but also showing that it didn’t initially skyrocket until after Biden took office.

Back in 2021, the White House was ridiculed for a tweet where they celebrated the price of July 4th barbecues being 16-cents cheaper than they were the year prior.
The next year, the cost fo the average July 4th barbeque had increased by $10.
