HELP22 is a nonprofit organization with a powerful mission: to restore the value of life for veterans and military service members through coaching, counseling, and mentoring. The organization’s ultimate goal is to prevent suicide, a devastating reality among veterans whose suicide rate is 57% higher than the national average. HELP22 directly challenges veterans with a rallying cry: "Re-enlist in life, one day at a time."

This challenge taps into the military’s core ethos of mission-driven action, urging veterans to summon their inner strength—not just for themselves but for their families, friends, and the nation that still needs their unique contributions. Facing the weight of dark thoughts, it can seem impossible to imagine enduring weeks, months, or years of despair. HELP22 shifts the focus to a simpler question: Can I make it through today? One day at a time, courage and commitment grow, fueling the fight for life. Never surrender.

As part of its ongoing mission to support the military community, HELP22 has adopted the 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, based at Fort Drum, NY. This initiative ensures that these brave soldiers feel appreciated and supported. Monthly care packages filled with essentials and reminders of home to uplift spirits and boost morale. These tokens remind service members that their sacrifices are not forgotten and that their service is deeply valued.

How You Can Help

HELP22 invites the public to join in this vital mission. Donations directly fund these care packages, providing comfort and support to those who protect our freedoms. Your contribution helps ensure these heroes feel the strength of the community they serve.

HELP22’s reach doesn’t end with care packages. The organization is deeply committed to providing critical mental health support for veterans and active-duty personnel, especially for those hesitant to seek traditional help through VA services due to stigma, judgment, or privacy concerns. By creating a safe, confidential, and judgment-free space, HELP22 allows veterans to share their struggles and begin the healing process.

Free Mental Health Support

HELP22 offers free coaching and counseling sessions with Dr. Keith Ablow, a renowned mental health expert who donates his time to this cause. These sessions provide veterans with the tools to gain clarity, rediscover their strength, and move forward. By eliminating financial barriers and offering an alternative to traditional pathways, HELP22 ensures no veteran has to face their challenges alone.

Why We Need You

To sustain and expand its initiatives, HELP22 relies on compassionate donors, organizations, and advocates who share a commitment to supporting veterans and active-duty personnel. Here’s how you can help:
